The officer involved in a fatal Dubuque shooting in front of a bar has been cleared of all charges. A press release from Dubuque County Attorney Scott Nelson says Dubuque Police Officer Austin Manders’ use of force in the shooting at Odd Fellows on January 4 was a justified use of force. Officer Manders witnessed a fight while on a routine patrol in front of Odd Fellows Bar on January 4. As he exited the vehicle, Manders witnessed 28-year-old Jaiondrick Lovely shoot 29-year-old Cory Wilson Jr. Manders shot Lovely who fled into the bar. Both Lovely and Wilson were later pronounced deceased at local hospitals.
