Suspicious fire at Comiskey Park causes $19,800 in damages

The Dubuque Fire Department responded to Comiskey Park for a fire Monday morning. Crews discovered heavy smoke and fire originating from a bathroom. The incident was immediately upgraded to a full structure fire response. The fire was knocked down within half an hour. Thermal imaging cameras confirmed that the fire had not extended beyond the bathroom areas.  The incident is being investigated by the Dubuque Fire Department and initially determined to be suspicious in nature. Preliminary loss is estimated at $19,800.
