Gusty Day Sunday

It was a gusty start to the month – with winds topping 40 miles per hour at multiple locations Sunday. The National Weather Service in La Crosse recorded a peak wind speed of 45 miles per hour at three locations in Grant County. The airports at Boscobel and Platteville, along with the city of Lancaster, had winds reaching 45 miles per hour. The airport in Prairie du Chien had a peak wind speed on Sunday of 41 miles per hour. The La Crosse Regional Airport recorded a top wind speed of 54 mph.
