MADISON, Wis. — Emergency responders are asking the public to avoid the area of 1900 Thackery Road as they respond to a gas main break.
Dane County Dispatch said homes in the area are being evacuated.
Dispatch said the gas main break was reported by Madison Water Utility around 9:10 a.m. The gas main has since been shutdown.
The Madison Fire Department and MG&E are responding to the scene, according to dispatch.
No injuries have been reported, officials said.
