CROSS PLAINS, Wis. — A child care agency in Cross Plains announced it will permanently close at the end of the month due to financial hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Little Cardinals Academy on 1805 Bourbon Rd. will close its doors for good Nov. 27, according to the news release.
The agency worked with the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District’s 4K program for the past three years and provided care for children up to age 12.
“We are sorry to the families, children and the school district, and we will miss the relationships we’ve built,” Little Cardinals Academy Co-Founder Brenda Fritz said. “We will always be a champion for 4K and preparing children for their life-long journey in learning.”
The child care agency will work to transfer staff to the Academy of Little Vikings in Mount Horeb, which Fritz owns as well.
