MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating a shooting which took place on the city’s east side Tuesday afternoon.
A woman told officers she pulled into a parking lot on the 200 block of Cottage Grove Road when another car came in behind her. According to the incident report, a man got out of the vehicle and started to shoot at the woman’s car while she was still inside.
The report said the woman was not struck by any bullets, but her car was hit several times. Police said the shooter went back into the vehicle and left the scene.
Officials said the shooting was likely targeted.
