WAUWATOSA, Wis. — A Wauwatosa police officer involved in three fatal shootings will resign at the end of the month.
According to WDJT-TV, Joseph Mensah’s resignation is effective Nov. 30. The Wauwatosa Common Council entered into a separation agreement Tuesday between Mensah, the Wauwatosa Peace Officer’s Association and the City.
Mensah shot and killed three people in the line of duty over the span of five years but was cleared in each case. The most recent incident occurred in February, where Mensah fatally shot a Black teenager outside a suburban Milwaukee mall.
