JANESVILLE, Wis. — Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil announced Sunday night that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a news release, the Republican congressman said he is experiencing “mild symptoms” and contacted his health care provider while he was home in Janesville.
Steil said he is following CDC guidelines and will be quarantining, starting immediately.
“I will continue serving the people of Southeast Wisconsin from my home in Janesville,” Steil said in a statement.
The congressman did not say if he knew how he became infected with the virus.
