WAUWATOSA, Wis. — Wauwatosa police said a total of three people have been taken into custody in connection with Friday’s shooting at Mayfair Mall.
According to WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, police shared new information on the investigation Monday after announcing the arrest of a 15-year-old boy the day before.
Monday’s update said three different people have been arrested, including the alleged shooter. Officials said one of the others was involved in the shooting, while the third person was a passenger in the shooter’s vehicle during his arrest. Police believe the weapon used in the shooting was also found in the teen’s vehicle.
Eight people were injured Friday, though all are expected to survive.
Investigators are working with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for an overview of the possible charges for those arrested.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
