MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Humane Society is asking the community to help the organization reach its fundraising goal of $80,000 as part of Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday, which happens every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a day that encourages people to donate to local organizations in need of support.
Thanks to a gift from Deb Sybel Realtor, Bob Bartholomew, Yvonne and Victor Gagliano, Clay Rehm and Giannina Milani, and anonymous donors, all donations made Saturday through Tuesday will be matched up to $21,000.
“Now more than ever it’s important to support your local non-profit organizations,” DCHS Public Relations Coordinator Evan Hafenbreadl said. “Your support this #GivingTuesday allows us to continue providing compassion and care to the thousands of animals a year that come through our doors.”
Those interested in donating can do so online at giveshelter.org/gt.
