MADISON, Wis. — State and county health officials confirmed 4,520* cases of the coronavirus on Thanksgiving as the state’s seven-day positivity rate remained largely unchanged.
Since the start of the pandemic, 374,975* Wisconsinites have contracted the coronavirus. Of those who have been infected, 74,658 patients still have active cases.
According to Wisconsin Department of Health Services officials, the seven-day positivity rate rose two-tenths of a percentage point to 28.5%, while the seven-day equivalent for total tests by day decreased to 12.7%.
Health officials confirmed an additional 58 deaths on Thursday bringing the state’s total death toll to 3,303*. A record number of deaths in a single day was reported on Tuesday.
Of the state’s 11,287 hospital beds, roughly 18% are still available, according to DHS data.
