MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a man shortly after midnight on Saturday after Wright Middle School on Fish Hatchery Rd was broken into, according to an incident report.
The police arrived at the school around 12:13 a.m. for an alarm. A broken window found by a security officer suggested that someone had entered the school, officials said.
One at the school, police searched the area with a K9 and located Gerron Griffin, who appeared to be under the influence. Griffin has no association to the school, police said.
When found, Griffin was not wearing pants and had recently defecated on the floor, according to the report. He admitted to police that he had used synthetic marijuana before breaking and entering into the middle school.
Nothing else was taken from the school or damaged. Griffin was seen by medical staff at a local hospital and then booked into the Dane County Jail on burglary charges, according to police.
