MADISON, Wis. — A bullet hit the driver’s side door of an occupied car during a shooting Sunday on Madison’s far east side.
The shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. along the 2900 block of Hoard St, according to a report by the Madison Police Department.
A 45-year-old man from Sun Prairie was inside the car that was hit. He was not injured, police said.
The victim told officers an armed man had just gotten out of a car when he began shooting. The man said he drove away from the area afterward and that several people took off running as the man fired several shots.
Police said it appears the victim was an unintended target. No other injuries were reported.
