FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg officers found several shell casings while responding to reports of shots fired early Friday morning.
According to a release by the Fitchburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Belmar Hills neighborhood around 1:40 a.m. after multiple people reported hearing several gunshots.
Officers found seven casings along the 2300 block of Red Arrow Trail. No injuries or property damage were reported, police said.
Witnesses reported seeing a white vehicle speeding away from the area.
