MADISON, Wis. — More than a dozen shell casings were found in the road as police investigated reports of shots fired on Madison’s north side Thursday night.
Officers were dispatched to the Marcy Road and Woodward Drive intersection around 11:20 p.m., according to a release by the Madison Police Department.
Several people called police to report hearing multiple shots fired and a car speeding away afterward.
Officers arrived on scene to find more than 15 shell casings along the 3400 block of Marcy Rd.
No injuries or property damage have been reported, police said.
