MADISON, Wis. — Police recovered multiple shell casings from the 700 block of North Thompson Drive around 5:40 Friday morning after multiple community members reported hearing “rapid” gunfire in the area.
No injuries were immediately reported, according to an incident report.
A home on Wintergreen Drive, which was occupied at the time, was hit by a bullet. Police said the house appeared to be an unintended target.
