VALDOSTA, Georgia — At a rally for Georgia’s Republican Senate candidates on Saturday night, President Trump pressed his own grievances over losing the November presidential election, even going as far as to say that he “actually won Wisconsin,” despite the results being certified for President-elect Joe Biden last week.
“They said Wisconsin, a poll came out, ABC-Washington Post just before the election, they said I’m going to lose by 17 points, I said, ‘No, I’m going to win Wisconsin’,” Trump said at Saturday night’s rally. “Well, actually I won Wisconsin, they tried to say [I’m] a little down, but I actually won.”
Gov. Tony Evers certified Biden’s victory in the Badger State on Nov. 30 following a partial recount in Dane and Milwaukee counties that added slightly to his 20,600-vote margin over President Trump. The partial recounts found no fraud, according to each count clerk.
Biden officially secured enough electors to become the next president on Friday night after California certified its results and appointed 55 electors pledging to vote for the former vice president.
