FITCHBURG, Wis. — A Fitchburg man is going above and beyond to spread holiday cheer less than three weeks from Christmas.
Greg Meyers said he started doing light shows back in 2012 when he wanted to use some of his background in computers and software and sync up lights with music.
“Initially, it took a lot,” Meyers said. “It took probably 100 hours to just build all the lights and get everything installed on the house.”
Meyers said he’s not doing the lights display for “glory,” but just in an effort to spread some holiday cheer in a time when everyone needs it.
“The best thanks I get it when I come home sometimes and there’s families out here watching the show,” Meyers said. “They’ll roll down their windows and give me a thumbs up or ‘Merry Christmas,’ so that’s all I need.”
