BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot early Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 10th Street around 6:20, according to a post on the Beloit Police Department’s Facebook page.
The man died from his injuries at the hospital, said Sarah Millard Lock, a spokeswoman for the city.
The Rock County Dive Team is helping with this investigation at the Portland Avenue bridge, Millard said. People are asked to avoid parts of 10th Street and the area near the Portland Avenue bridge.
There is currently no threat to the public, Millard said.
