MADISON, Wis. — COVID-19 continues to impact Wisconsin, but Monday’s numbers have shown slight drops compared to previous weeks of the pandemic.
The seven-day positivity rate for new tests by person saw a minor decrease to 30.7% on Monday, while the seven-day equivalent for total tests by day went down to 12.8%.

State and county health officials recorded 2,300* new cases of the virus Monday. That’s well below the rolling average of daily cases of 3,871, which has also decreased from Sunday.
The state has reached a lifetime total of 414,629* confirmed cases, and roughly 58,000, or 14% of cases are still active.
At least 3,822* have died of coronavirus complications since the pandemic began, with 17 new deaths confirmed Monday. The state Department of Health Services said 70 more people were hospitalized, and 17% of the state’s 11,147 hospital beds remain available for new patients.
Badgers women’s hockey has been canceled through the end of the year due to positive COVID-19 cases and injuries within the program. The decision affects series against Minnesota Duluth and Ohio State.
