OREGON, Wis. — Several agencies are searching for an inmate who escaped the Oregon Correctional Center early Tuesday morning.
Fitchburg police say Matthew Bohringer escaped at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday. Prison staff said they saw him running away. He’s 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds. Police believed he was wearing a green prison jumpsuit when he escaped.
Oregon and Fitchburg police are working with the Dane County Sheriff’s Department to find Bohringer. Anyone who sees him should not approach him. Instead, they should call 911.
