DELTON, Wis. — Sauk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a potential burglary in progress at 4:56 p.m. Monday at Pioneer Park.
According to a release, a caller reported they believed their unit was broken into and the suspects were inside. Pioneer Park is at E10570 Fern Dell Road in Delton.
Deputies arrived and tried to contact anyone inside the residence. When there was no response, the deputies started to search the residence. The release said deputies found two individuals hiding in a storage room underneath a couch.
Cody L. Forsythe-Murdock, 27 of Reedsburg, and Jessica M. Hackett, 24 of Reedsburg, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. Hackett was also arrested on a warrant.
Many potentially stolen items were found inside the residence, the release said. The incident is under investigation.
