MIDDLETON, Wis. — Frank Balistreri, a former Middleton Police Department officer and police chief for the Waunakee Police Department, has died from COVID-19.
MPD shared Balistreri’s obituary on a Facebook post Tuesday. He worked for the department in the mid-1960s.
“Our thoughts are with his family, friends & colleagues,” the post reads.
Balistreri was later hired by the Waunakee Police Department, where he worked as police chief until he retired in 1995.
