A new hotel is coming to Lancaster. The Lancaster City Council approved a new hotel during their public meeting on Monday. Sleep Inn & Suites will be located on Highway 61-81 and 35, and is slated to open in the spring of 2021. The hotel will be locally owned by Lancaster Hotel Development and will be managed by S&L Hospitality, under a license agreement with Choice Hotels. The developer has requested city participation through the use of Tax Increment Financing and plans to employ approximately 20 full- and part-time local employees. The Sleep Inn & Suites will start taking group reservations in late 2020.
