
An upcoming storm has prompted an Alert Day in the forecast. The precipitation will begin to impact southern Wisconsin Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday.
A storm system in the southwest this morning will move northeast today. Current forecast models take this storm from St. Louis to southern Michigan. This path would bring snow accumulation to southern Wisconsin.

A mix of rain and snow is expected to move into southern Wisconsin Friday afternoon. The mix will likely change to all snow Friday night. Snow will continue on Saturday as winds increase from the northeast. The snow will taper to flurries and end Saturday evening. Total accumulation will range from 1-6″ across the area with the heaviest amounts southeast of Madison.

There is still some uncertainty in the exact track and strength of the storm. Keep up to date with the forecast as any changes in the forecast path of this storm will have big impacts on snow totals in southern Wisconsin.
