MADISON, Wis. — A man tried to get into a Fordem Avenue resident’s home Wednesday afternoon while armed with a gun, according to an incident report.
The victim told police a man she didn’t know knocked on her door around 1 p.m. When she looked through her peephole, the woman saw the man lift up his sweatshirt to show off a handgun, according to the report. The man then told the woman to let him inside.
The woman said she “wasn’t going to put my life at risk by standing at the door,” so she backed away and called 911.
Responding officers cleared the apartment building, but they did not locate a suspect.
