MADISON, Wis, — The Wisconsin Air National Guard will provide more information on the fatal crash involving a Madison-based F-16 jet.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. On Thursday, the Wisconsin Air National Guard announced the pilot of the jet died during the crash.
The jet was assigned to the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing united based at Truax Field Air National Guard Base.
Col. Bart Van Roo, the commander of the 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Field is providing an update on the crash Friday morning.
