JANESVILLE, Wis. — A 17-year-old is in custody after police said he shot two people with a compound bow Sunday night.
Janesville police responded to a call at a local hospital for the initial report at 8:58 p.m. Sunday. The victims told police it happened on the 700 block of Walker Street, not too far from Adams Elementary School.
Police said the boy ran away, and they later found him on the 600 block of Eisenhower Ave., about a block away from the original incident.
The victims are still recovering at the hospital. The teenager is being held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial appearance in court. Janesville police said there is no threat to the public.
