MADISON, Wis. — An employee at a Madison business suffered non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday after falling into a cardboard compactor baler.
The Madison Fire Department responded to a business on the 2200 block of Fish Hatchery Road at about 11:10 a.m. An incident report said the employee was working on top of a conveyor belt and fell into the machine.
Officials said the worker’s foot became temporarily trapped after cardboard landed on them. The cardboard was removed, and crews brought a ground ladder to place the worker on and pull them out of the machine.
Paramedics took the worker to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
