JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man was arrested Tuesday after impersonating being a police officer by driving a car displaying illegal colored flashing lights.
According to an incident report, the car driven by Blake Davis, 22, had red and blue flashing lights as it ‘pulled over’ another vehicle at Milton Avenue and Humes Road. Police said a woman driving a car thought she was being pulled over by an unmarked police car, but Davis shut off his car’s flashing lights, pulled up to the side of her car and started laughing.
The report said Davis kept driving south on Milton Avenue, when he was stopped around 6:30 p.m.. at Newman Street.
During the traffic stop, police said Davis admitted he had color changing LED lights in his headlight housing.
He was arrested on suspicion of impersonating a police officer and released with a court date.
