MADISON, Wis. — A woman’s SUV was stolen as it was warming up in a Madison parking lot Wednesday morning.
The theft happened on the 400 block of South Yellowstone Drive shortly after 6 a.m., according to an incident report.
An employee waited inside her place of work as she was warming up the vehicle when she saw a white 4-door KIA with tinted windows park next to her SUV.
The woman said she saw two younger men get out of the KIA and hop into her 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. Officials said one of the men was wearing a black hoodie and possibly black sweatpants.
Police said the woman walked outside and yelled out, “What are you guys doing?” The report said neither responded, and both cars drove away toward Mineral Point Road.
