MADISON, Wis. — The Badgers have already won the Axe. Now they’ll look to add another trophy to their collection.
After an unprecedented season where Wisconsin Football only played five regular season games and rescheduled the Battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe, the Badgers are going to Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
Wisconsin (3-3) announced Sunday it will play in this year against Wake Forest (4-4) on Dec. 30. The game will kick off in Charlotte, North Carolina at 11:00 a.m. on ESPN.

The Badgers are no stranger to bowl games; last year they played Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
Every team was eligible for bowl games this season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many teams, including the Big Ten’s Purdue, withdrew its name from consideration for such games due to COVID concerns.
