MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after someone broke into a store on the city’s east side.
An employee of Scrubs and Beyond called police around 8:15 p.m. Friday after hearing someone trying to get into a locked service door, according to a release from the Madison Police Department.
Responding officers arrived to learn the person was still inside the building, the release said. The man ran away once officers arrived at the store.
Police said the burglar left behind multiple tools and pry marks on the business door.
Police describe the suspect as a white man wearing a black jacket, black pants, hat and backpack.
