VERONA, Wis. — Verona Area School District families are asked to select instructional options for students for the upcoming spring semester.
A letter outlining the options was sent home to families of middle and high school students Monday.
One option would be a combination of in-person and virtual learning. Students would attend in-person school two days a week and learn virtually the other three days.
Students would either attend in person Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday and Friday. Students would not be in-person on Mondays.
In-person instruction would begin on Feb. 9 for grades 6-12. Daily start and stop times would depend on transportation needs and would be shared in the upcoming weeks.
Families could also opt for virtual learning only. Students would follow the daily in-person schedule and participate in live sessions via Zoom.
A spokesperson for the district said no plans are confirmed until they get board approval. A school board meeting is scheduled for Monday night. She said the letter was sent to families to get feedback and so the district can start planning how to determine factors such as bus routes.
Families are asked to make their decision by January 5.
