MIDDLETON, Wis. — A Middleton police officer arrested a man early Wednesday morning on suspicion of fourth-offense OWI.
Police said the officer spotted a vehicle deviating from its lane of traffic multiple times around 1:05 a.m. The officer subsequently conducted a traffic stop on University Avenue at Eagle Drive.
The officer said the man, 32-year-old Albert Landrum smelled of intoxicants during the traffic stop. Police said Landrum also had open intoxicants in his vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
Landrum submitted to field sobriety testing and was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense OWI, which is a felony. Landrum was also cited for operating after revocation of his driver’s license, according to a news release.
