SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Wis. — One child drowned Sunday afternoon after falling through ice in Marquette County.
According to a news release, officials responded to a call around 12:30 p.m. that several Amish children fell through the ice on Twin Lake.
The release said the five children were ice skating; four of them made it out of the water, while one child drowned.
The incident is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation.
