MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say they’re investigating a shooting on New Year’s Day morning that sent one man to the hospital.
The department says officers were called to a local hospital after getting a report of a man who was shot in the stomach. They say the shooting likely happened on the city’s south side, near Todd Drive and McDivitt Road.
The man’s injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. The MPD Violent Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.
