Lafayette County authorities arrested 19 year old Cory Swenson of Blanchardville Sunday around 2:45am on Highway 78 near Argyle. Swenson was arrested for Reckless Driving, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Obstruction. Swenson was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. Swenson was also cited for Operating while Intoxicated and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Swenson’s passenger, 20 year old Jacob Ruf of Darlington was arrested for Underage Consumption, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Obstruction. Ruf was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. Ruf was also cited for Possessing a False ID.
