BERLIN, Wis. — After responding to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Broadway St. around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, Berlin police reported that a 16-year-old struck a 52-year-old pedestrian, severely injuring him.
Officers said a gold 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, occupied by two male persons, was eastbound on Broadway St. when it struck the pedestrian. The vehicle occupants were not injured.
The pedestrian was transported to Theda Care Berlin Hospital by Berlin EMS. The pedestrian is believed to have been within the crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The names of the involved persons are being withheld pending notification of family. Broadway St. was closed for approximately four hours after the time of crash.
The crash remains under investigation. The Berlin Police Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Berlin EMS and Expert towing.
