A former Sauk County Board supervisor was sentenced Friday in Sauk County court on child pornography charges. 73 year old William Wenzel of Prairie du Sac will spend three years in prison and 10 years under extended supervision. He is also required to register as a sex offender and cannot possess a computer or smart phone with internet capability. Wenzel was charged in March 2019 with five felony counts of child pornography. He pleaded guilty on one count in January and the four others were dismissed .Investigators found child pornography on Wenzel’s laptop. The details of the videos that investigators found are disturbing. Wenzel spent more than 20 years on the Sauk County Bard. He resigned from his position in March 2019.
