MADISON, Wis. — Target plans to add one of its smaller stores near the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
The store will be located at 610 State Street, according to Target’s website and permit documents filed with the city. The former Under Armour store used to be located at this storefront.
The Target store will be roughly 15,000 square feet. The company recently began expanding its small-format stores near college campuses and in cities across the country. The scaled-back stores offer a variety of items, but focus on the essentials that a college student or city dweller would need.
The website did not indicate when the State Street store would open.
