FITCHBURG, Wis. — Police are searching for the man who reportedly broke in to a Fitchburg gas station and stole tobacco products early Thursday morning.
Fitchburg police responded to the Capitol Petro gas station at 2770 S. Syene Rd. around 12:40 a.m. for an intrusion alarm. When they arrived, police found the gas station had been burglarized.
An investigation revealed a single suspect broke into the gas station and stole tobacco products. The suspect is described as a man who was wearing a stocking cap, multi-colored jacket and brown pants.
Town of Madison Police helped Fitchburg police with the response. Police said their investigation is ongoing.
