MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after woman discovered a bullet damaged her kitchen window over the weekend.
Officers responded to the 1600 block of Mendota Street on Sunday after the north side resident reported being awoken sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. when she heard a loud crash in the house.
According to an incident report, the bullet traveled through the woman’s kitchen window and lodged itself in a can of food in the her pantry.
A neighbor told police they heard 10-15 gunshots around the same time. The neighbor told police the shots might have come from the 1600 block of North Stoughton Road.
Officials said no injuries were reported.
