JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Beloit man was arrested in Janesville early Saturday morning after standing outside a home and threatening people with a firearm.
According to an incident report, Ladarien D. Brackens, 35, was taken into custody on several charges and was held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
The report said officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street shortly after 1 a.m.
Police said Brackens drove off from the scene before officers arrived, but they interviewed victims and witnesses. A Beloit police officer found Brackens in the 1100 block of Ninth Street in Beloit later in the morning.
Police found the gun used in the original disturbance in the car.
The release said Brackens is a convicted felon and currently on probation for a firearm related offense. He also violated a domestic abuse injunction order.
