WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — Outdoor Season held their annual Sportsman’s Expo at the Kalahari Resort instead of at Madison’s Alliant Energy Center over the weekend.
The convention was cancelled in 2020. The 50 mile move was to a larger venue that could allow for more social distancing between vendors and visitors.
The expo included over 200 vendors selling products for all outdoor needs. From deer hunting essentials, to fishing boats and turkey calls.
Eileen and Jim Schroeckenthaler live in Madison and have attended the expo for more than 30 years. They made the drive to Wisconsin Dells on Sunday.
“We enjoy it because it’s nice and open, and it’s a lot more space than in Madison, and it’s also good to see this year open again, because we missed it last year,” Schroeckenthaler said.
Organizer Chris O’Hara said they were able to bring in similar attendance numbers to 2019.
“It’s been a great turnout and the exhibitors are been extremely happy, they love this facility, we like it too, so we think we might have found a new home,” O’Hara said.
