QUINCY, Wis. — Authorities are searching for a domestic abuse suspect who led deputies on a high-speed chase in Adams and Juneau counties overnight.
A news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a bond violation and domestic abuse incident in the town of Quincy just before midnight.
An investigation revealed 47-year-old Christopher Duff arrived at the victim’s home, who officials said Duff was prohibited from having contact with. The victim suffered injuries after the two got into a fight, according to Adams County Sheriff Brent York.
The man left the home before authorities arrived, though deputies later saw a vehicle drive by the residence matching the description of Duff’s vehicle.
Officials confirmed Duff was the driver and attempted a “high risk” traffic stop on Eagle Avenue east of County Highway Z. Duff pulled over and was told several times to get out of the vehicle but had refused.
The release said he instead yelled at authorities through his window and drove off. Deputies once again chased Duff with speeds exceeding 100 mph.
Duff went southbound on CTH Z and crossed over the Highway 82 bridge into Juneau County, after which Adams County deputies ended the chase. Juneau County deputies later found Duff and began their own pursuit.
Duff is wanted on the following charges:
- Disorderly conduct (domestic)
- Criminal damage to property (domestic)
- Battery (domestic)
- Criminal trespass to dwelling (domestic)
- Ten counts of felony bail jumping
- Knowingly fleeing an officer
Anyone who sees Duff or knows of his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office at 608-339-3304.
