MADISON, Wis. — Madison police have arrested a man accused of making threats to law enforcement over the phone earlier in the week.
An incident report said James Peterson, 52, called the police department Sunday night to dispute a disorderly conduct citation he received from using racial slurs during a noise disturbance.
Officials said police and dispatchers received multiple calls that night from the man, who allegedly used racial epithets and threatened to kill officers.
Peterson was arrested Wednesday morning on the 1400 block of Wayridge Drive following an investigation. He has since been booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of threats to law enforcement.
