MADISON, Wis. — A majority of the state is under a very high fire danger Saturday and Sunday according to the Department of Natural Resources.
Saturday’s weather forecasted conditions of low humidity and high winds is dangerous for fires. According the the DNR a fire can quickly start and spread under these conditions.

The DNR asks that outdoor burning remains limited, with no campfires and to ensure cigarettes are disposed of properly.
Burning under DNR-issued permits for debris piles, and grass or wooded areas remain suspended in DNR protected areas. Make sure to check with local authorities regarding burning restrictions in your area.
According to the experts there have already been 25o wildfires this year, and over 1,000 acres have been burned in Wisconsin.
