FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Third term County District Attorney, Eric Toney, announced Saturday that he will be running for Wisconsin Attorney General.
He will be running again current Attorney General Josh Kaul.
Toney was elected as Fond Du Lac District Attorney in 2012, and is the current President-Elect of the Wisconsin District Attorney’s Association.
He grew up in Fond Du Lac, attended St. Norbert College for an undergraduate degree, and graduated from Hamline University Law School in 2009.
District Attorney Toney said, “as the next Attorney General, I’ll make the safety and security of Wisconsin families my top priority.”
On Saturday he also criticized Josh Kaul’s policies as Attorney General.
According to his campaign, Toney already has endorsements of 26 District Attorneys from across the state.
