MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say there are no plans to charge the driver of a car involved in a crash that killed a man crossing the street over the weekend.
Police say further investigation found 37-year-old Ashley “Cameron” Taylor tried to cross E. Washington Ave. near Mendota Street as outbound traffic had a green light when he was hit by a car.
Two witnesses told police they did not see Taylor in the road before the car hit him.
Police say the driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, and said they did not see Taylor before hitting him.
The Madison Police Department is continuing to investigate.
